The Introduction of 15 Minutes for Me

One of the most frustrating things about being human is that we have so many problems. And sometimes it feels like all of these problems pile up and become unmanageable. It’s hard to know where to start and how to deal with everything that life throws at us. That’s why I created 15 minutes for Me.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist who has been working in the mental health field for more than twenty years. In my work, I’ve seen firsthand how stress and depression can negatively affect people’s lives if they don’t know how to manage them properly.

Lesson 1 – What Is Your Favorite Way to Relax?

In order to reduce stress and depression, it is necessary to relax. There are many ways to do this. For instance, you can take a hot bath or shower or go for a walk in the park. You could also listen to your favorite music or read a book.

However, if you choose to relax, it is crucial that you do so. Do not allow your body and mind to continue in a state of stress. This will only exacerbate your depression and possibly lead to other health problems. The effects of depression are often so subtle that we do not realize how badly our bodies and minds need relaxation until we have undergone a program designed to help us remove stress from our lives.

Fortunately, there is a natural way for us to take control of our health and happiness; it just takes some effort on our part. Here at 15 minutes for me, we have put together an easy self-help program that will help you get started taking control of your life today!

Lesson 2 – When Is The Best Time For You To Practice This Technique?

I work from home. I’m usually up early in the morning and go to bed late at night. For me, the most important thing is to be mindful of when I am feeling stressed or anxious about something so I can take a break and do this technique. So if I feel like my mood is starting to change or things are getting out of control, then it’s time to do this technique.

One of my favorite times to do it is in the morning when I get up. At that moment, my mind and body are fresh so I have a lot of energy to practice mindfulness. Then as soon as I am finished with breakfast and doing a little bit of work around the house I like to do it again just to make sure my body is relaxed and my mind clear before starting my workday. The last thing I do at night when going to bed does another session.

So what’s your best time? If you’re not sure then maybe think about when you are feeling more anxious or depressed than usual and try then and see how it goes!

Addendum

I was feeling pretty stressed and anxious when I stumbled across a free self-help program called 15 minutes for me. I had been looking for something that would help me relax and de-stress and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a try. The program is meant to be used over the course of two weeks and in each session you are given three exercises that are designed to reduce stress and improve mood.

There are also helpful tips in between every exercise so you know how to get the most out of each one. It’s all about giving yourself 15 minutes of time to completely focus on yourself, which can be hard in our busy world today but really important too.
