5 Things We Can Expect from Apple’s iPhone14 Launch Event
Apple’s annual Apple iPhone14 Launch event will happen later this month, and people around the world are anxious to see what the tech giant has in store for the future of mobile technology. What can we expect? Here are five things you can expect from Apple’s iPhone14 Launch upcoming iPhone 14 launch event.
iPhone 14 Rumors
This event will be a huge moment for the smartphone industry, but there are only so many things we can expect. The most reliable rumor comes from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities in Taiwan. In March he told investors that Apple’s iPhone14 Launch would release three new iPhones this year: two with LCD screens and one with an OLED screen.
If Kuo is right, we can hope to see these iPhones on September 7th. However, rumors also say that one of the phones might have a dual-lens camera system and another has wireless charging capabilities. As exciting as these features sound, it is unlikely they will be revealed at this event.
AirPods 2
Apple’s iPhone14 Launch teased new AirPods at their recent event for the HomePod. With rumors about better Siri access, improved sound, and a charging case,
it sounds like these headphones will be worth checking out. Along with wireless charging for their upcoming lineup of phones, new AirPods are on their way.
And I don’t see any reason why they won’t be nearly as successful as the first iteration of this product. The company had originally touted that these could work in conjunction with an Apple iPhone14 Launch Watch when synced to your phone through
Bluetooth—but have since scrapped this idea in favor of adding water resistance and better battery life to the next generation model. However you feel about that, there’s still plenty to look forward to when it comes to new features and listening capabilities.
Apple Watch 4 with Taptic Engines
Predicting what’s next for the iPhone is a difficult task, and without more evidence, we can only make educated guesses. However, there are a few rumors and hints to take into consideration that might offer some insight as to what we can expect at this September 7th event.
First, it would make sense for Apple’s iPhone14 Launch to upgrade its Mac Mini if they want developers on board with the changes coming in iOS 13 (coming this fall). The laptop-sized desktop computer launched back in 2005 and since then hasn’t been refreshed or updated – until now.
Another thing we can expect is a redesigned MacBook Air. This line of Mac computers was last updated back in March when a 13-inch Touch Bar version became available with new processors and longer battery life.
A lighter and slimmer MacBook Air would make sense, as Apple’s iPhone14 Launch seems to be moving toward that direction across its product lineup.
And with rumors of an upgraded Mac Mini also on the way, you can bet there will be some kind of cross-promotion between both products – something that has historically worked out well for all parties involved.
iPad Pro 2019
Apple’s iPhone14 Launch first introduced the Mac Mini back in 2005, so we can expect them to either unveil a new model or phase out the current one.
It’s also been six years since they released a new iPod Touch and five years since the last MacBook Air. These devices might get an update too, but it seems like Apple’s iPhone14 Launch saving their big announcements for September 7th.
As far as actual smartphones go, we can expect to see updates to the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max. Leaks suggest that a new gold color option might be coming and there are likely going to be some processing power upgrades under the-
hood. You can also probably expect updated software – iOS 13 is likely coming out of beta and will most likely come preloaded on new devices.
Apple will sell each device at several different price points: They don’t want consumers to feel like they need an iPhone 11 or they won’t be able to access all of their favorite apps.
Mac Mini (yes!)
When Apple announced their Mac Mini refresh back in July, I got really excited. They said the old Mac Mini was outdated, and then unveiled this shiny new computer on the screen—I couldn’t wait for a release date. Finally,
we get to see what’s so special about this new update to the Mac Mini. And now we’re all buzzing with questions—will it have the powerful specs of the newest MacBook Pro? Will it be powerful enough to replace our current PCs or laptops? One thing’s for sure, though: I’m stoked for September 7th.
