Is Living In the Dream SMP all it's cracked up to be?

Is Living In the Dream SMP all it’s cracked up to be?

Whether you want to call it the SMP or not doesn’t matter; the truth is that being in the Dream SMP or being a housewife is not all it’s cracked up to be, and it’s only worth doing if you truly love what you are doing. While some women genuinely enjoy the life of an at-home wife and mother, others might feel like they are wasting their potential by staying at home with their kids all day long, but the truth is that there are plenty of ways to utilize your natural skills and interests while still maintaining a sense of personal fulfillment.

The good: you get the house you want

Living in the Dream SMP is a really expensive gated community. All the homes are the same, there’s no backyard, and everything is up to date (even your hair with the mailroom). The only problem?

You’re isolated from any type of organic living experience. Like feeling the dirt under your toes or inhaling fresh air; all you do is focus on how perfect everything will be as you gaze at the new construction sites.

But there’s more. These communities also have planned events and amenities like social lounges, pools, theaters, and even schools for your future children. It is a very self-contained lifestyle where you’ll never have to leave or think about life outside of your community.

But there’s more – Third Paragraph: What would you pay for that type of isolated lifestyle? If that sounds great to you, then go ahead and make a reservation at one of their sites.

You won’t regret living in the dream SMP when it becomes reality…until they dig through your trash without asking first and find an empty box from that place down by the tracks.

What would you pay for that type of isolated lifestyle?

The bad: renovations are expensive and take time

Living in the Dream SMP is not as perfect and easy as it’s cracked up to be. Renovating can be expensive, time-consuming, and a hassle, especially for those without any DIY experience. Plus you’re surrounded by homeowners who want to prevent Dream SMP and their property values from falling – that means you will probably get less say in your decisions.

And if you are lucky enough to find an HOA agreement with a waiver of liability clause then the amenities that come with the home aren’t free: they have to be paid for monthly (plus you might have to pay extra fees if you want them all included).

Whether Dream SMP not it is worth the money and effort is up to every person to decide.

The ugly: buying property in your 20s requires sacrifice

At the end of the day, the real cost of living in the dream SMP isn’t about how much you earn each year; it’s about how much you’re willing to save. You don’t need to be wealthy to create financial stability, but it helps.

For example, many people recommend saving 20% of your income so that when you retire at 65 and only have a 50% chance of a solid monthly return on investments because of market fluctuations, you still have 75% of your money left over. That’s in addition to those years when market swings can make it feel like all your retirement savings are dwindling to nothing even though they aren’t!

Overall, buying a home is still worth it

The Millennial Dream was to buy a home and live the  Dream SMP American Dream. And as the Millennials are now buying homes, is this still all it’s cracked up to be? Some say yes, but others would argue otherwise. Whether you rent or own, there are pros and cons of each type of living situation that depend on your financials, goals, and lifestyle.

For many, a rental is an answer because they prefer not to have the responsibility of yard maintenance and the time needed to maintain their own house. However, renting can be expensive in some parts of the country where supply is low which then forces prices up ____.
