New to Disney Plus? Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Disney Plus is the home of streaming entertainment that Disney fans have been waiting for, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and National Geographic content in one place with no extra fees or subscriptions. If you’re already a subscriber, then you’ve probably seen some of the exciting new content that has been released over the past few weeks. If you’re not yet subscribed to Disney Plus (and if not then what are you waiting for?!), here’s everything you need to know about the Disney Plus experience so far.

The Buzz on Disney Plus

Launching in November 2019, the Disney Plus streaming service will be home to original movies and TV series as well as a treasure trove of classic films and shows. It’ll also have a host of exclusive content you won’t find anywhere else.

Disney Plus is set to launch on November 12th, 2019, but the streaming service is available for pre-order now. All the details about pricing, device compatibility, and other information are below.

The Good Things About Disney Plus

Disney Plus is everything you’ve come to love about Disney and more. The $7.99/month subscription fee gives you access to a wide variety of content including all the new, original series, movies, and documentaries that will be available on the service starting in November. No matter what type of content you’re looking for, there’s something for everyone.

Plus, with an app for both Apple TV and Android devices at your fingertips, you can watch your favorite shows or binge on your latest series from anywhere in the world with an internet connection- no matter where life takes you.

This is only one of several features that makes watching your favorite content more seamless than ever before. When you sign up for Disney Plus using your login credentials from other apps, like Amazon and HBO Go, you’ll be able to access them within your new app without having to sign in again. This means you can watch all of your past favorites on a variety of services while only ever logging in once.

Plus, no matter how many people in your family want their own accounts, everyone can have their own profile page- complete with customized lists but everyone will still be able to view everything available on their home screen. Your whole family can enjoy everything on Disney Plus, and it’s never been easier or more convenient for all!

The Bad Things About Disney+

Disney+, the new streaming service from the Walt Disney Company, is set to launch on November 12th, 2019. The announcement has been met with mixed reactions from consumers due to the $7.99 monthly price point. With a standard Netflix subscription at $13.99 per month, it seems like a hefty price tag for what could be seen as the same content. The vast majority of people are also wondering whether or not they’ll be able to access their old Disney DVDs and Blu-rays through the new service (which is still uncertain at this point).

The biggest downside of Disney+ is, without a doubt, its price. The reason why so many people are hesitant to sign up for what they could see as a glorified Netflix or Amazon Prime Video subscription is due to how much they’re paying in comparison. For example, you would need three accounts with that company per month: one for films, one for TV, and one for music (if you’re an audiophile).

It seems like unnecessary spending when we can get all of those features from another service – though it does have some unique features and benefits that make it more worthwhile than a regular streaming service.

Is It Worth it to Get a Subscription?

If you love Disney, there is no better way to watch your favorite movies and TV shows than with a subscription. And the price is very reasonable for what you get.

I’ll admit that it takes some time to get used to the different menus of the app, but once you do, it’ll be hard not to use it all the time. And one of my favorite features is that if I want a TV show or movie but don’t have time for it right then, I can save them on my list and then watch them whenever I want.

And if you’re already a member of another streaming service such as Netflix, I still think that it makes sense to get a subscription. Why pay for two different services when you can just have one? And it’s especially worth it for anyone who is an annual pass holder at any of Disney’s theme parks or resorts.

There are so many classic movies, TV shows, and documentaries in there that you’ll never run out of stuff to watch. It really feels like having your own personal Disney library at home. In fact, after paying for mine myself, I’ve now told several friends and family members about how they should get a subscription too!
