With so many shows and movies to watch, it may be hard to know where to start. Starting with a show you’ve heard of or seen before can make the process of selecting easier. The library of shows is vast, but we have some recommendations below:
– Westworld (available on Netflix)
– Sherlock (available on Netflix)
– Battlestar Galactica (available on Netflix)
– The Crown (available on Netflix)
What do I need?
What can I watch?
If you’re a fan of film, Paramount Plus will be a dream. The app offers up thousands of shows and movies from your favorite franchise, including Anchorman, The Naked Gun, and Mission Impossible. It also has new release films and documentaries which are in standard definition at launch but HD in the future. All content is ad-free too so it’s perfect for binge-watching all your favorite film franchises. Who are its partners?
What are its partners?
Before we get into it, know that Paramount Plus isn’t launching alone and has joined forces with Apple to offer exclusive discounts on Apple hardware as well as Facebook Watch Shows based around original programs such as Top Chef.
How much does Paramount Plus cost?
You can sign up for a free trial of Paramount Plus at any time. But you’ll need a credit card or debit card with a $0 balance in order to avoid being charged, so make sure you cancel before the trial ends if you don’t want to be billed. There’s no contract and you can cancel at any time.
You can also purchase new movies and TV shows individually without subscribing. Current prices are $3.99 for Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD movies, $4.99 for 3D Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD movies, and $4.99 per episode on iTunes (this includes an HD version).
To access Paramount content with Paramount Plus, you’ll need a monthly subscription and one of these devices or apps. With each device, you can enjoy ad-free streaming on any number of devices connected to your account in your home (one stream at a time), plus download titles up to five different times.
For example, if you sign up for Paramount Plus on Apple TV and play a movie on your iPad while you’re at work, you can watch that same title on your iPhone when you’re out running errands later that day. If an issue comes up, it’s easy to reach out online for answers or calls their support line for help. There’s also an excellent How-To guide about getting started and how everything works that is more than worth reading!
When will it be available?
The Paramount Plus app will be available for download on December 4th. The app is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It’s free for everyone to download and use, but there are some limitations when it comes to the specific shows that can be streamed. There is a free trial, which you can use to watch your first episode of a show before deciding whether or not you want to access it. Once downloaded, Paramount Plus will take over as the new TV provider in your home, so you’ll need to unsubscribe from any other services you may have been using beforehand.
What else do I need to know?
One of the most important aspects of Paramount Plus is the free trial. When you sign up for the free trial, you get a week of unlimited movies and TV shows. That’s seven days to watch as many movies and TV shows as you want without paying a dime. If during that week, you don’t find anything you like on Paramount, then cancel your subscription before it expires.
Another great thing about Paramount is that your account will work with both apps and on devices, regardless of which ones you own. This means that no matter what device you’re on—whether it’s an iPhone or Android—you can use Paramount if you have a subscription.
In addition, Paramount works with Chromecast and Apple TV so you can cast content from those devices onto your TV. The app also has AirPlay integration for those who want to use their iPhones or iPads as their television remote control. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on Roku or Amazon Fire Stick devices yet but hopefully, that functionality will be added in due time.
