How to switch your Quest from a Facebook account to a Meta account
Did you know that your Quest can have either a Facebook account or a Meta account? Facebook accounts are only available to students who used Facebook to log into their college’s Quest prior to Fall 2015. Here’s how to switch your Quest from Facebook to Meta and enjoy all the benefits of the new account, including all-new apps, exclusive discounts and access to exciting new features in the future!
What you will need
In order to change your Quest from a Facebook account to a Meta account, you will need the following:
-Facebook and email accounts with verified numbers that you can log into.
-A registered school phone number. -All Quest quiz questions Facebook account cleared out of your account by deleting them (by clicking on the X).
-You have earned more than 100/200 points in game (note: some Quests may require more points for certain features). -You need to go onto your Purchases section of Google Play and make sure you can see all of your previous purchases.
-Next, go onto Google Play and search for Quest. Click on More by Newdle, Inc.
-Click on App Info, then click on Move Account. Then simply follow the steps. It will ask you for an email and password of an email you have access to that is not a Google or Facebook email address. After that, it will ask you for your new school’s phone number associated with Google Voice/Hangouts. If you do not have one or if they are unable to verify it due to incorrect numbers or whatnot, there will be 2 additional boxes and an optional Captcha box that asks for 3 separate digits that can be found around town (including inside textbooks). Just enter 3 random digits into each box in order for them to be verified Facebook account, and once those are entered correctly, click Submit.
Steps to take
The process is fairly simple. To get started, log in to your Quest account and then go to your Facebook account settings. Next, click on the account button and select Meta Account from the drop-down menu. Finally, click on the switch my account button and start the process by uploading a photo of yourself holding a handwritten note that includes your name, Facebook username, and city you live in. Once uploaded to Meta’s servers, you will receive an email confirmation letting you know that your Quest profile has been successfully transferred over to your new Meta account!
There are some things you can do while waiting for your profile Facebook account to complete, however. Once you’ve switched over, you can start having fun! Download any content you have stored on your quest profile onto your computer or device of choice.
You can also delete that material via Settings under Content Privacy if you no longer want it saved. Additionally, after logging in with either a Facebook login or an existing Meta account login, you will be able to download all of your progress data up until now. This includes personal milestones and workout information as well as tracking data and health details – everything you’ll need if starting fresh!
What you can do while we are processing your request
We are currently in the process of switching your Quest from a Facebook account to a Meta account. When this is completed, you will be able to log into your Meta account using the login credentials that were provided when you created your Quest profile. Please follow these steps to make sure you can use your new login credentials.
-You may need to sign out of Facebook and click the link below to sign into your Meta account and start the Quest switch process.
-Start by logging into our homepage and clicking ‘Log In’ in the top right corner. Click on ‘Open Account’ and enter either your email address or phone number.
-Follow any additional instructions and verify your email address. Once you’ve done that, you’ll see an orange message at the top of your screen saying that we are currently processing requests for users who have existing Facebook accounts. You can log out of your Meta account if you wish at any time, but we will send you an email when we are ready for you to start using it! This process may take a few days depending on how many requests we receive, so please be patient while we work on getting everyone switched over.
